Mikael Munck

Mikael, Munck was named CIO of the year by Danish ‘Computerworld’ in 2012 and is widely recognized for this frontier thinking in adopting leading practice. Mikael was promoted to Global Head of Technology and Operations at Saxo Bank in January 2014.

At Saxo Bank, the leading online trading and investment platform, Mikael has pushes the frontier boundaries of superior client service and competitive pricing. Challenging the traditional of working with software development and testing. The idea to adopt best- and industry practices and developing leading practice in order to better interlink project management, software development and testing with value creation (based on the strategy).

Mikael Munck joined Saxo Bank in November 2009 following the Bank’s acquisition of Initto, a privately held IT services provider for which Mikael served as CEO, having co-founded the company in 2003.

Mikael Munck brings considerable experience from the IT and financial sectors, having worked as Portfolio Manager within banking, and as General Manager for SunGard and as CEO of Aloc Bonnier, both software and IT services companies for the financial market, prior to founding Initto.

Mikael is member of the Board of Directors at LEADing Practice and holds a MSc. in Finance from the Copenhagen Business School.
